After a mother and father decided to divorce in Alabama, the father was ordered to pay child support and other expenses related to their child. When the father became past-due in paying these costs, the mother reached out to a child support attorney at Alabama Divorce & Family Lawyers, LLC for help.

Attorney Richard Perry filed a petition for rule nisi, and successfully obtained an order in which the father was ordered to reimburse the client for his share of the extracurricular and school expenses, as well as an award of past due child support plus interest. Additionally, the father was ordered to pay the client’s attorney fees for being in contempt of court and failing to show cause why he shouldn’t be held in contempt.

The outcome of an individual case depends on a variety of factors unique to that case. Case results do not guarantee or predict a similar result in any similar or future case.
